This mythical address, 13 rue de la Paix, takes us back to the origins of Cartier. The birthplace of the legend, where Louis Cartier and later Jeanne Toussaint invented the style and identity of the Maison, “13 Paix” has an incomparable historical significance. To mark the reopening of the boutique, this book retraces its history from the inauguration in 1899 to the current renovation, illustrating a metamorphosis through an architectural concept that rethinks its décor with a contemporary spirit.

Coinciding with the first exhibition in Paris dedicated to the Mexican photographer Graciela Iturbide in almost forty years, the Fondation Cartier is publishing a book containing all the photographs in the exhibition. The collection features a comprehensive interview between the photographer and the French essayist Fabienne Bradu, as well as a short story by the Guatemalan author Eduardo Halfon.

Co-published with Actes Sud, this book gathers the writings of Bruce Albert and Davi Kopenawa, and, in seventeen chapters, retraces their intellectual and aesthetic exchanges with the artists presented at the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain. These texts explore, in turn, the shamanic perspective of the Yanomami, the images and sounds of the Amazon rainforest, the complexity of its biodiversity and the threat of its destruction.

Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda, Sally Gabori

Bringing together more than 90 paintings, this book offers an insight into the extraordinary work of Aboriginal painter Sally Gabori. She made her first painting in 2005, when she was over 80 years old. Today, she is considered as one of greatest contemporary Australian artists of the past two decades. Contributions from Nicholas Evans, a linguist and anthropologist specializing in the Kaiadilt community, and Bruce Johnson McLean and Judith Ryan, both experts in Aboriginal art, recount her extraordinary history and analyze the power of her work, which captivates with its spontaneity and sheer originality.
